The American Cinema Editors (ACE) has announced that it’s now accepting submissions in all categories for the 72nd annual ACE Eddie Awards, which will be held on April 18, 2021.
Submissions for all categories, including the brand-new “Best Edited Animated Series (Non Theatrical),” should fit within the appropriate eligibility guidelines where films are eligible from January 1, 2020 to February 21, 2021, and television shows are eligible from November 2, 2019 to December 31, 2020.

Best Edited Animated Feature Film
Best Edited Animated Series (Non-Theatrical)
Best Edited Documentary (Feature)
Best Edited Documentary (Non-Theatrical)
Best Edited Comedy Series for Commercial Television
Best Edited Comedy Series for Non-Commercial Television
Best Edited Drama Series for Commercial Television
Best Edited Drama Series for Non-Commercial Television
Best Edited Miniseries or Motion Picture for Television
Best Edited Non-Scripted Series
Anne V. Coates Award for Student Editing
On the new category, ACE Executive Director Jenni McCormick stated:“This has been an extraordinary time for animated television, and we are proud to recognize the amazing achievements of film editors working in non-theatrical animation.”
Submissions are open from November 2, 2020 until February 21, 2021 with more information available on AmericanCinemaEditors.org.
